S**t I hope not! The car is already lowered 2 inches. It should sit at the same height, and actually give me a little more ground clearance because it is about an inch thinner.

Lol I was just wondering if it did. Wanna stuff an lsx tall deck under my hood seems how the car is gonna have to stay stock for the next couple years due to my duty station. Didn't know if aftermarket k members allowed for a drop to allow for more clearance. Really haven't had a chance to check em out. LS1.com hits right to my phone to keep me informed!

Yoiu can probably get a custome K that will sit lower, but that will play with your driveshaft geometry if you don't drop the trans member as well. Just pop it through the hood, ZR1 style

GMHTP recently featured an F-body with a screw type supercharger atop the engine -- the cowl was modified and the K-member was spaced down to gain additional clearance.

So, not just the motor mounts, the whole fram? That sounds...bad.

They may have also spaced the transmission mount down as well -- the article did not say. There were pictures showing the spacers and it looked to be nicely done.

Yeah, i'm sure they did it right. As long as the tranny is dropped to match, it should be fine. I know I had a hell of a time getting rid of the drivetrain vibration after lowering my car.

But if I lowered my drivetrain, I'd have to put rollers on the oil pan

This is normal, it is like this to slow the coolant down but keep it moving, and to help cool the head evenly and to prevent hot spots between the cyls. Nothing to sweat.. Lookin' good brudda!

Thanks! The new gaskets have slightly larger openings. I guess the thought behind this is, a higher performance build should move more coolant? Not really worried since I never had a temp problem, and I put in a 160 stat on the new motor.

You're prolly right, a better design than the factory set. Less likely for a larger hole to swell shut..
