Parents gave me the 'ok' to purchase new rims!
Ok, so I have a 2000 Trans AM, bone stock and my first 'real' decent car.
I'm 18 years old, (new here by the way) and my parents told me they would allow me to get completely new rims/tires at their cost.
Now I need suggestions/help/pics to help me decide which would look good on my car.
Now I know I want the following:
18' Inch Rims
Black (chrome lip possibly)
Other than that I'm still kinda still learning about cars in general. Now it was suggested to get the "staggered" look, wider tires in the back, any suggestions on that?
So if you have suggestions, please post them, pictures of the rim, and pictures of them on a TA(black) would be wonderful, thank you.

If you are going 18" wheels, which is what I run, I would recommend the BFG KDW NT, they are pricey but I have been extremely pleased with them and they are a very aggressive looking tire.

Yeah I could only find those in 17's, and I've strictly decided 18's.
So far I like...
C5 Ultra Deep Dish Rims (C5 ZO6 Sizes)
http://www.finishlinewheels.com/specials/1,CHEVY+CORVETTE/902,NEW+C6+Black+Alloy+Wheels+++%28C5++ZO6+SIZES%2 9/
C6 Z06 Black Wheels (C5 Z06 Sizes)
http://www.finishlinewheels.com/spec...+Z06+Sizes%29/
I like the 5-spoked rims better but the last ones caught my eye, trying to find pictures of TA's with them isn't so easy.
Any opinions?Last edited by x Dylan; 01-28-2010 at 07:51 PM.

Those 2 links above might help you. Also, for 18s, I run 275/35/18 fronts and 295/35/18 for the rears. Main thing to keep in mind with the staggered look is the overall diameter of the tire, you want them to be as close as possible. Anything greater than .5" diameter difference between front and rear will cause ABS issues.

Just my .02 but you could get cheap tires and expensive tire for many different sized wheels. Just saying, but what Preston gets 17's for ( i think he said $600.00 ) I paid for a set of Zr 16's for my 01. and they are only 265/45's too. I'd say shop around when you get the need for tires on those 18's you like. Deals on tires happen all the time. Sometimes the little guys whom have tire shops can get great deals on new skins for whatever sized tire/wheel combo you deside on.. Just my oppy tho..
