Ordering a hood from VFN

Has anybody here ordered a hood from VFN?

I've made up my mind and I want the WSQ hood they have come out with. At the end of the month I'll be ready to order it. I've talked to them already and know that it will take a couple of weeks to get made because of how many ppl have started ordering it. From what I've been reading that they have very good fitment and quality products.


My main questions are when it comes to shipping that I had forgotten to ask while I had them on the phone.

Do they collect the shipping cost or does the trucking company?

How are they shipped, in a wooden crate or cardboard and wrap in plastic?

Just how hard is it to install a hood? I can only find videos or pics of them after they have been installed.

Afterwards, from what I've read I need to have it sit on my car for a while so that it will (A) cure the plastic/fiberglass or whatever it is made of) and (B) so that it will form to the car. Is this true?

I know I will have to removed the gel coat prior to getting it painted. It will most likely be a few months between getting the hood and being able to paint it.

Anything else I need to know?
