Oil Pressure

check gauges light is on and oil pressure at zero. no noise but will not run again until I can repair. so hear goes dumb question of the week, where is the oil pressure senson located & can it be reached from the engine bay or do I have to get it in the air to see it?
the service manual I have just says it's at the rear of the block as on the old small block.

It is at the rear of the block just behind the intake manifold...

It is the small black cylinder to the rear drivers side on the block... and from my experience

you have to remove the intake to have any kind of room to work...

mine was in pretty tight. and of course you will need a special socket to get it off and yes the intake out of the way is the only way to go.

Unbolt the intake manifold and move it out of the way to access the sensor. Be sure to unplug the brake booster cable from the master cylinder prior to moving the intake or you will most likely break the sensor with the hose.
