Just got a cool little story that happened to me about ten minutes ago. Went out to dinner with the wife and mother tonight, and took the trans am. They drove separated, and I told my wife I needed to get gas. So I proceeded to the local Shell station, where I see this brand new Porshe. I am not sure what kind type of Porshe but it had exhaust mounted in the middle of the rear bumper with dealers plates on it still. Out pops this Dr. in full scrubs on his cell phone. I am pumping gas and I keep hearing him say WOW!!! I turn around and he is looking at my car and says to me "That is a beautiful car". I could have bought another house for the amount I paid for my car and mine doesn't look half as awesome as yours. I said thank you, and then he just keeps going on and on about How beautiful my American muscle is, and that his Porshe looks like an eye sore next to it. He called it American Beauty. I talked to the guy for about a half an hour. Really cool dude.....just thought I would share.....~Chris

that's so rad! was he a younger dude?? i wouldn't think a porsche owner, or atleast a more affluent one, would notice a muscle car

Well the carrera GT is the only one thats worth as much as a house. But im sure he wouldnt have said it looked like and eye soar next to the T/A. The T/A is a beautiful machien but a carrera GT is one of the best looking supercars of all time. And that rear mounted 600hp v10 surrounded by a carbon fiber body doesnt hurt the look either.

There are actually alot of porsche guys that hang out at my girlfriends uncles shop. They seem to have alot of love for the muscle car culture. But then of course you get the snobby porsche drivers who think they are top dog.

That is a great story. Most time the Porsche drivers don't even acknowledge others.

IMO the center mount exhaust, on most cars, looks stupid. Especially if it's a smallish round tailpipe. It looks too much like an anus! Like most Porsches have, like the Mini S also. Also, I think the styling on the Boxster is not good. You have to really look at the car to tell the front from the back. The Carerra GT, tho, is another story itself.

He was an older gentleman, with full scrubs on some doctor. So that made it even more amazing that he took the time to talk to me, and wasn't a snob at all!!

Why do you think doctors are snobs, they just spent more time partying in school. My sister in law is a doctor. She lives in Hawaii, loves Jimi Hendrex and drives a piece of crap. Damn she is hot! In fact if you saw my doctor, you would think he was a Nascar watching redneck......ok so he is!LOL

That's great. I had a similar story, but the guy was an ass. He was in his Carrerra, or however you spell it, driving like an idiot. When traffic thinned out, I got right next to him and he tried to hit it. I downshifted and stayed right with him. At the next light, we both jumped on it. It was close, but I pulled him by about a car lenght. Man, do you want to see a rich bitch get all pissy? LOL. He tried again from about 40 and just couldn't catch me. I laughed all the rest of the way home. Knowing his attitude, he probably went and traded in his car.
