New paint job free
Just in case some of you guys didn't know. If the clear coat on your car is peeling. It is covered under you comprehensive for acid rain damage, if it is the case. I am getting my car painted without using a dime out of pocket. Just a little info. if you didn't know. I just found out myself.

As an FYI to others.
It will be free unless you have a Comprehensive Deductible.
Check to see if your policy actually includes this before assuming you will automatically get it done. Or call your agent.

True. But I wanted people to not automatically think they will get it for free.
If you file a claim for the paint job and then find out you have a ded and change your mind (say you don't have the money) then you might have a problem down the line if you decide to get it done. The company will have a record of the previously filed claim and might deny the coverage stating that you chose not to have repairs done previously.
The key thing is. Make sure you know what is and is not covered by your policy and how much your deductibles are.

It starts off as a water spot, then it kinda flakes a little. It starts to show the dull paint underneath.

If only my insurance would cover the 3 dents i have in my rear quarter panels, i've never been hit i think they happened do to no sub-frame connectors being installed by the previous owner and them flexing, but who knows. Each one would have to be a seperate claim i bet and with a 500 dollar deductable it wouldn't be worth it.

Also be aware that some insurance companies will raise your rates for filing a claim. You may only pay your deductible now, but you'll be paying for a rate increase for some time.
