too expensive... Dont look good... and i'm pretty sure they suck (light output wise)...
If it were me i would either leave it alone or try to find some conversions that would bet away from the sealed beam and maybe let me put in some nicer looking housings...

inserts are alot cheaper, there are lots of polishes for the plastic pieces on these cars. I dont care for the body line when the lights are up, so i put brighter foglight bulbs in and i run them in all street cruises. I dont usually get any problems from cops.

For the black trim go to any paint store and look for SEM Trim Black, what i used on my rear bumer and it's also what I use at work to bring old black wheel flares and moldings back to life. Just scuff the trim with scotch brite from paint store or you can get them at auto parts stores now. Clean it with wax and grease remover or even a fast wipe with paint thinner. Laet dry for a min. hit it with some duplicolor adhesion promoter (srpay can) 2 coats, left it dry for 10 then spray it with the trim black. I think other brands make it now that you can probably by at Advanced ot O Reilly's cheaper but you do get what you pay for.

There is a product by mothers called back to black that work pretty good too. I run sealed beam conversions with hid kits. I have the hids in the fogs as well and I can also run with just fogs and see fine.

BLACK- 1998 Trans-Am
I have an HID conversion and they work really well. Go to(led Gauges.com) for the conversion then order any HID H-4 bulbs and ballast and install, it looks great and the light output is 200% better than stock. I use 3M plastic polish to keep the bezels looking new with little elbow grease to buff them up, 3M part#39010
