blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
need some advice
i'm going to be looking at a 98 WS6 A/T. with 77,000 miles on it. and i was wondering what to look for as far as possible problems. I know of course look at the rear end and make sure there isn't large amount of fluid leak. but i was just wondering if there was anything else?

I have just over 62,000 miles on my 2001 WS6 and so far the only thing aside from looking at the rear end, was I just had my clutch replaced. I have a 6 speed of course. Other then that I haven't had any other issues yet. I would also probably look at the o2 sensors, they will get carboned up over time and may cause a miss.

Check the door codes and make sure it's a real Ws6 that your paying for. You might be able to get the price down a bit for warped rotors. Remember it will only have 1 tail pipe if it hasn't been fixed yet. Pay attention to the tranny to make sure it isn't slipping. Being 18 you might want to consider getting a base T/A and put a Ram Air hood on it as insurage would be cheaper too.

thanks guys. i was sorta wondering about the single pipe. I noticed it had 2 outlets like a base t/a. what do you mean by "fixed" ..i thought the 98 ws6s just came like that and nothing was wrong with them Also i didn't know the ws6 costed more with insurance. Thanks guys i will check for all of that stuff.

i would check for lime green fluid around the a/c condenser, ses lights, make sure there is dexcool pink fluid in the radiator, possible over heating problem but not likely on the ls1 unless the tranny isnt cooling well. blockage from poore upkeep
