need help ASAP

im in the market to buy a ws6 and i found one for a GREAT price....now i have been doing some reading about these cars and keep seeing all these diferent names for different models....can someone tell me what the one im trying to get may be

heres the vin 2g2fv22gxy2161097.....its a 2000 too btw

i pulled the car fax under model it says...firebird formula/trans am

so is this a firebird? a trans am? a formula? or a ws6? sorry for my lack of knowledge i have been a ford guy for years but recently saw the "light"

Being that its a 5.7 l thats means its a V8 which also means its not a firebird. But it could either be a formula or a trans am. If it has the ws6 badge on the back then its a ws6 unless someone has turned it into a ws6. The best way I know of to tell whether or not its a formula or a trans am besides looking up the vin, is to check the the door overlays on the side. They will either say formula or trans am depending on which one u have.

if it is a true WS6 it will have the (WS6) code on the driver's door code list

What? All Firehawks, Trans am's/WS6 and Formula's/WS6 are Firebirds. TA's and Formula are just the V8 models of a Firebird; the WS6 is a RPO code for performance/appearence/handling package on a V8 model.

I do agree with that, but the firebird form of our cars come with a V6 motor. Thats what I meant.
