    Mystery Part

I am the new owner of a 2000 t/a ws6 I'm trying to figure out what all has been done to this car and I'm looking at the intake and some thing doesn't seem factory installed it's a bracket with 1 screw in it right before the intake with a hose running out the top of it any help would be appriciated. I am the 3rd owner I was told the 1st owner put a some kind of fan air intake but he had the wires disconnected I don't know if that has something to do with this part.

That is the EGR. The 98-00 models had the EGR from the factory.

Get a blockoff plate for the stock exhaust manifold and get the code turned off for the EGR so it doesn't throw an SES code. If you don't get the code turned off, it won't hurt anything, you would just have an annoying SES light.
