Rpo/Vin is the only true way to know. Looks like one but those rims were for the 2002 only.... so IDK(I think)

well he says in the add that he just ha the ram air hood so its probably not a true WS6. I find it kind of odd that he we would not ask what cam was in it but I guess some people aren't like that. I think 14 is a high for a non WS6 99 even with the mods. and I would ask for a pic of the rear to mack sure that it is a 12 bolt.

Id get documented reciepts of the mods and go all over the car. It could save you some $$$ in the end but then again poorly done mods could cost you money

Yep, like Joshie said...Look at the receipts, and then make sure theyre on the car.
The RPO Code sticker on the drivers door is the best way to know.
it will say WS6 right on it, and give you the codes for wheels, etc etc.
If all that is gone, I'd be leary of the entire car.
The easy way to tell if it's a fake RA hood, is to look at the shape of the inlets. Generally suncoast hoods are more Boxy and don't look quite right compared to an original RA car.
I dispise guys that clone a car, and then try to pass it off as real.
There's one guy here in MI that frequents the car shows with his purple base V6 firebird.
Last year, I was doing my picture rounds for my site, and it seems his car changes colors nearly every year....
He added a TA front end, spoiler, logos etc etc. He made the mistake of showing the V6 rod that he bent from the original firebird on display. After getting quizzed...he got rid of his little trophy since he didn't know the difference. (Mind you...this is a guy in his late 30s early 40's, and claims to have a 500hp LT1)
Getting the look for cheap is one thing...deceiving a potential collector/buyer is another.

If it were my purchase, I'd go with the non-modified car.
That way you can do the upgrades yourself, and know that theyre good and installed correctly.
I could be very wrong though.
If it's local, take a look and ask lots of questions.
Who installed the rear... where was it bought...etc etc.
If it's been on 3 different cars and beat to oblivion..might not be worth it after all.
Was this car hit in the rear??

That hood isn't sitting right. I doubt its a factory hood.

I should have blown the picture up better.
Nice catch.
They didn't line the hood up properly when they installed it. It also looks like the front lower nose portion is shaped differently.
The rear of the hood looks like it sits lower as well. It may not be a production hood.
Not only that...the Font isn't right, nor is it placed correctly.
Here's what the font and text look like on a real production car.
