Was on Cars.com
Funny, that car has been listed on Cars.com for months now and for less than what you are saying it finally sold for. The car had never been titled but because of the transfers the warranty clock had started and ended a long time ago.
Hope it found a good home where it will be driven some instead of just sitting around collecting dust.
Just my .02.

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
I think that I could have found something compairable for alot less. (if looking).
I think the most I would pay for something would be a CETA I saw with just over 20,000k asking 25,000k. Maybe a Firehawk for equal pricing, but 90k for 40k, ugh.

88 miles like less than 100 miles, not 88,000 miles

the deal was that it had no reserve so it was gonna go for whatever someone was willing to pay. someone wanted it pretty bad. didnt the firehawk have all that slp stuff on it and more hp than a regular t/a?

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
A vehicle that only has 88 miles on it, isn't good. Unless they drained of fluid, kept in a moisture free setting for all of those years, fogged the motor, and a longer list of things, it's no better off than one with more miles.
I'd rather spend 15k on a used WS6, dump 15k into the motor and 10k into drivertrain/suspension and be 100x happier than having a stocker.
But as I said, that's my thought on it.

Museum Piece
I called about the car when I was looking for a low mile convert back in October. This car was first held by the dealership as a showpiece then sold to a museum where it was held until the recent sale so definitely good storage conditions. I'm sure however it would have some small issues and maybe some dried gaskets, at least the original tires would be seriously flat spotted.
I was laughing because they were offering it for $33K on cars.com and it just sat for months then when it got to the auction I guess they found the right buyer!
Would have liked to have it but it was a bit too pricy for me at the time. I did get an 02 WS6 Convert with under 7K miles for a lot less and I think in a better color!

Black- 2001 WS6 Trans Am
I also looked into this car while it was on cars.com.... However, It was for sale by a used car company not a dealer.. Secondly,. they also had 5-6 very low mile 76-79 trans am's, I checked out on a 76' with an alleged 26,000 miles.. I found it VERY suspicious that a used car dealer from West Virginia would have that many low mile t/a's.. Also, note that they were from West
Virginia where the chance to find a willing county clerk to rework the titles on the older cars is highly possible.. Being from a neighboring state, we always stayed away from some of the mucsle car "deals" from W.V... When I talked to them, there responses were very vague and IMO it was a scam, or at least
the older trans am's were.. So, I stayed away, far away.........

Collector Yellow- 2002 CETA Conv Auto
It was McLaughlin auto Museum.
It is a fancy name for a used car dealer.
However, I have seen the 88 mile firehawk in person and it was a perfect car and had properly maintained over the years. It was nice, definately worth it IMHO if you wanted an 02 vert hawk.
He also has, currently, a 12 mile 79 tenth anniv. 403 auto car and it is one of the nicest TATA's I have seen. Most have fubar interior due to the leather seating surface shrinking and disfiguring the foam seat where the vinyl meets the leather, this car does not have this problem.
The 76 yellow car at auction last fall, well I only seen it briefly and to me,it looked to have had a lot of detailing work done to it. I would have looked at this car a lot harder if I was going to buy it.
Anyways, you always gotta be careful, but the do have or have had some really nice cars.
