Medium Quazar Blue- 1997 Trans Am LT1
Made a desicion today
Ok so ive been thinking alot about getting back into an LS1 latley... Im financially stable again and about ready to make the jump. Well im driving down the interstate today and I see a SOM WS6 going the other way. Ive seen them before but i guess id say it reinspired me. Ive decided im going to wait till June to make sure my job securitys gonna be there, then im going to start hunting for a Sunset Orange T/A. This will be my second LS1 T/A so i know what to expect but my question is... whats the market looking like on such a car and where should i start looking? Its gotta be Sunset Orange... the only other color ill settle for is Electron Blue but i know that might as well be non-existant so. Just want to do it right this time. I always regreted my Black one regardless of how bad ass the car was and looked. (its resting in peace in a junkyard now because the idiot i sold it to couldnt handle it) It was just to much of a pain to keep clean. So this time im not settling on anything but the color I want. Any help you guys could give me woiuld be great. If you know where any may be hiding for the right price let me know. Thanks ahead of time.

These are the closest SOM's I could find: They were on autotrader
Star Pontiac in Easton, PA has two of them. An 02' with 27k miles for $27K and an 01' with 21K miles for $25K They are around 170 miles from ya.
There is one for sale privately in Medina, Oh. It's an 02' with 51K and the guy wants
$21,300. That's about 250 miles away.
That's all I could find within 300 miles of Charles Town. Looks like it's going to be a task. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a SOM out on this end of the state. Best of luck.

There were a few more that were between 400 and 500 miles out. I'm glad you're willing to drive, cause its damn near impossible to just go out and get exactly what you want around here unless it's like a Cavalier or an F150

you said it brotha, lol. I dumb lucked into my LT1 and couldnt have been happier but... i think i need to leave her where shes at right now to retain the value. The rare colors gonna be worth something in a few years, ill be a little less upset to mod the LS1 car because more of the stuff is reversible where as LT1... not so much

I hear that. I don't blame you for wanting to keep the LT1 value up as much as possible. The Quazar Blue was one of the better colors they had IMO. I don't think I'll let my "rare" color get in the way of me dogging the crap out of mine this summer though. Between the red and the high miles, I don't think I need to worry about ever getting a premium out of it. I guess that doesn't matter though, cause I'll probably be burried in it when I die anyway.
