with lowering rear end.......
Hey everyone I read somewhere one time that you can lower your rear end an inch by just removing some "rubber pieces" is there any truth to this? If you have done it how easy was it to do and how is the ride? a link to a write up would be greatly appreciated~Chris

It's called the heater hose mod. Unbolt the shocks from the axle and lower the axle till the spring come out. Remove the big hunk of rubber on top of the springs and replace it with a piece of heater hose.

Ive got my rear end out and im bout to do this. Does the hose around the top of the spring?

Any one know where I can find a write up on how to do this?
2000 Arctic White trans am, ws6 hood, ws6 air box, slp lid, slp smooth bellows, slp loudmouth exhaust,shift kit, rebuilt trans, LS6 intake, 3.73 gears, Shaner S3 p/p throttle body, and a tune . SFC. C6 ZO6 rims 18" in back 17" in front. Drilled and slotted rotors.
