I have been told that with a lowered car, which mine is, that you do not get the same (as in good) weight transfer from a dig.
I can't vouch for that because I changed tires and wheels right after replacing the springs. I am having trouble with tire spin since I lowered the car 1.2 inches and replaced the 16" Toyos with 17" Kumho ecstas.

In a word "yes", you will need these...
Relocation Brackets
Lowering your axle side rear control arm will increase traction, reduce wheel hop, and give you better anti-squat. These high strength brackets are made using 3/16" cnc laser cut and cnc formed cold rolled steel. Lowering almost any control arm up to 3". These are a must for lowered vehicles!
