Black- 2000 WS6
Looking to buy WS6 and need help!
I've always wanted a performance car and decided on a 98-02 WS6. I have a wife and two kids and having a backseat is a must. A guy can't drive a minivan his whole life! Test drove a 99 WS6 with 26,000 miles. Car is in great shape and has been pampered. Seller wants $16,500 for it. Based on what I've seen online this seems a little high however. Problem is though I live in the middle of nowhere so I don't have a lot of opportunities for a vehicle like this without having to drive a long ways. Just wondering what other's opinions are on what would be a good price to pay for this car by someone in my position. Car is black with T-tops and a manual with no after market modifications. Only issue with car are both inside door panels have cracks which I guess are typical.
Also, are there any major differences between a 1999 and the newer model WS6's?Last edited by 617wingnut; 06-19-2011 at 03:25 PM.

There were minor differences year-to-year. Overall though I do not think you will find anything that matters a whole lot if you are simply looking for a nice car. The price does seem high even for a car with low miles.
Here are some things to look for when buying an F-body: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118628

That seems high. You can get a built one for that. Search the sale ads here.

Years ago that would have been great but my friend sold a NBM Z28 with exhaust and a tune with 29k for $10,500 a few months ago. Depends on how much you like the car. I will pay a little extra for a pampered car with all the toys I want. In Houston and Dallas Texas FBody's are a dime a dozen. i will pay over regular market price if I could find a mint SOM SS, WS6 or hawk. Just my opinion

I wouldn't pay that much for one with cracked door panels. Check and see if the sail panel is bubbling also. These are exspenive issues to correct. My car suffers from neither of these so their are better ones out there.
