Lookin to buy ws6 w/mods
Hey folks, im looking to buy a 02 T/a with 56k. It has mild cam, Headers, y pipe, borla exhaust, ported throttle body, high flow air lid, built transmission w/3500 stall, and suspension parts. My question is, will it still be as reliable as if it were stock? The guy is asking 18k which is way too much ,thinking about low-balling him. Thanks,

Has the rear end been swapped out or is it still stock?

Im not sure, I still haven't been able to get in touch with the owner to ask, I dunno if you could tell by the pictures.

The reason why I'm asking is, even with a mild cam and bolt-ons, chances are pretty good that, if it is still the stock 10 bolt, you will break that rear end soon....

Thanks for the input ill make sure to check when I see it tomorrow, and do you think 18k is way too much considering the mods ?

Unfortunately, there's no way to tell if it's the stock rear end based on the pics in the ad; definitely ask him about that

It has some nice mods done to it, but my personal opinion is 18k is too much...

A year or two ago, I could see it selling for 18k. However, when you factor in depreciation and the recession we're in, the value of these cars has steeply dropped.

Tell me about it lol, but people are selling these cars as if were in a good economy. But ill definitely ask him about the rear end tomorrow, seems like a real fun car, hopefully he'll see the price my way.

13 would be a good deal, 15 wouldnt be bad even but if you watch the clasifieds over at tech, theres always modded cars selling cheap....

Black- BLK TA modded 12.2@113mph
If you check Kijiji.ca Toronto Canada you will see a 2001 black on black WS6 with 29000km so like 18000miles and he will say $25000 Cdn but will take 20k so 16k for you guys. It's a long way but 1500 shipping on a train so pretty resonnable deal considering the mileage. There's a silver one on there with 65000miles for $11500 about 8500 for a ws6 is not bad if it's worth the drive it might be interesting for someone to look across the border there's no duty only $176 transfer fee
Good luck

Well you know you always take a gamble with somebody else's mods. You really dont know if they were done right or done half ass. If I were you i would check that car top to bottom just to make sure your getting what your about to pay for.
