    1999 Pontiac Firebird

    lighting up center piece on back end

    IN the back center of our cars where we have the firebird emblem and it says trans am im lookin to light that up any body know how to do this? and mine is fading out real bad is there away to restore it your self or do i need to replace it, thanks everybody

    Removing the faded bird is pretty easy. Someone just posted a thread on that so I won't get into it. Check it out here:

    Lighting it would be pretty hard. The writing is on top of a solid black panel. Light will not shine through. You would have to trace and cut out the lettering, then do a waterproof overlay to protect the opening. Then you would need to splice into your rear lights, to add custom lighting behind it.
