Letting the Gf drive your Bird?
Stealing this from the Camaro Threads...
Would you let your significant other drive your Bird if she asked?
I'd have to say no. For one, she can't drive a stick, and two, even if she did, if something happened I could never forgive her.

Nooo.. I wont even let my best friend drive it. ONE person other than myself can touch my car - I let my Dad drive it before because he used to drag race and I fully trust him with it and he helps me work on it when I need help.

I let my g/f drive it through an old square in my home town, but I gave her limits. She couldn't exceed 2k rpm and she had to leave the TCS on. She listened to what I said and she looked damn fine driving my car. Sadly though, she's no longer my g/f and I regret allowing her driving privileges before my gear head buddy.

I let my ex drive the LS1 when i had it... bad idea... She nailed a curb and tore the crap out of one of the TT2s i had on it. Let the new g/f drive the LT1 though. She did a pretty decent job i must say. She was going a lil faster than i would have liked but im just happy ive got her interested in cars now. Her dream car is the new Charger Superbee but she understands and apprieciates F-Bodys for what they are (pissed off beligerent corvettes with a back seat to quote something i read on ls1tech the other night) and shes pretty gung-ho about me getting another LS1 car (she wont drive that one lol)

I let my gf drive my A4 a few times till a couple of close calls and spinning it around trying to pull out of a parking lot in front of traffic...
so I took the plates off it, and bought an M6 (she can't drive stick)
Unfortunately, my lil sis can drive stick... and she's been begging me to let her borrow the car.... She drives real good, but even faster than I do. I hate be not being cool about it..... but nobody treats a bird nicely unless it's their own

A few times when I've been a little to intoxicated and she did fine. She loves the six speed. Her father and brother both drag race, she grew up around cars has a 5.0 Stang her self (yes I know, she has to park it behind the house, can't have that sitting in the front) I trust her for the most part, but TCS is most differently one ,and I tell her when to shift!

My wife can't drive a stick. If she could or I had an automatic I'd let her drive it. However it wouldn't be with her friends or screwing around when I'm not there either. I'd have to be around supervising...
GF or wife... something you just have to make a stand on. My car/pride and joy is one of them
