2nd? not a good idea. You need to practice. The key to launching is to figure out what is the best RPM to hold. I found the sweetspot was about 3600 in my car with Drag radials. I'd hold, dump the clutch, hold the accelerator and let it catch then roll into the throttle and maintain the traction. The concept with the accelerator is the same, just figure out what RPM you won't bog in, and what you won't spin in. But throttle control is what you need to really work o

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
are you on the stock clutch? you won't be for long if you keep dumping it like that!
keep the RPMs at 1000 and relaeas the clutch quickly, but steadily [don't just side step it] and once you roll forward for 10 feet, stab the gas and you'll hook fine.

The whole point of launching is to get a jump off the line it is not possible to get a jump at 1000rpms, and dotn tell me it works if you side step cause it wastes so much time doing that just launch at 2800-3000 and just work on getting you feet workign together.

Yeah whoever told you taht you need to beat the shit outta them, that would only work if when you launched you speed jumped instantley to 50mph.

my car breaks loose real quick trying to launch at any rpm above idle. I'm sure it has to do with the tires not being heated, nor on a track, or even drag-oriented (general exclaim uhp)
