just a little help wanted

I have a 2000 Trans Am Ws6 ...have ordered Hooker L/T , Hooker catback, slp lid, k&n filter. I know its not much but it something. I want just around 400 hp

, what else would I need to get there? After that Im pretty much done moding the engine, 400 just sounds like a good number to me

Are you speaking in terms of 400 RWHP or 400 HP at the motor?

i'm assuming RWHP since our cars make almost 400 at the flywheel stock

YOURE going to need a CAM dude, headers and intake is a perfect start, you need more air in and more exhaust out b4 u can start modding the engine

Is your car an manual tranny or automatic. You will need a cam to make 400RWHP like ss~zoso~ss if that is your goal.

224/224 .561/.561 114LSA(TR224) or 228/228 .588/.588 114LSA(TSP 228R) may need to go a little bigger, but I think these are a couple of the more common cams used for DD cars.

it is an auto..and if i was abel to purchase the cam how much hp do you think i would pull at the rear wheels ??

it all depends, u should get a good tune to get max hp out of your mods

texesspeed makes some great cams but they can be pricy at times.

Also keep in mind that with a new cam you should get a torque converter and have it stalled at around 3200-3600 depending on what cam you decide to go with it will put you into your powerband.
