Thumbs up Just installed my WS6 Trufiber hood

Truck driver delivered it about 2 hours ago and I couldn't wait. Very nice hood and the gaps are pretty decent. Small tweaking to be done before paint but nothing serious. Quality is very nice too. Check out the pics.

Looks good, but I am sure you noticed that the white on the hood doesn't match the rest of the car.

Nice chickenwire. I had the same stuff, i cut it out and stuck in the real ram air grills. I want a ws9 warbird hood but the trufibers aren't bad for the price. Nice install, get it painted and it'll look beast

How do the real grilles attach??? Should I consider doing the same?? This is my first TA and I don't know what they look like originally. Now would be the time to do it though before I paint it. Let me know.

Hey chris, my first ta too. i had to use emblem tape to attach the grills. put some on the top, bottom, and sides. i was going to use some nuts and bolts but there isn't enough clearance between the nostrils and the dam for my hand to install them. it depends on if you like the look of the mesh, i personally like the stock ram air grills and think it matches up better with the vents on the fenders. Also if you decide to keep the mesh, when i had mine done they painted over the mesh so you know. looked weird to me. its all aesthetic so its up to you. if you do decide to use the stock ram air style grills, http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com sells them for 40. let me know what your thinking. where you gettin the paint done?

I agree. Thats why i installed em, til i can afford a better hood these will have to do. i dont like how they're installed, but i don't have the bread to make any big upgrades right now and it'll have to wait. least i have the ram air hood i dreamed of. TA's look so much better with them

I'll check them out. I'll do the paint myself, so no worries there : )

Yeah, I really like the looks of the ram air hood and I just couldn't afford a TA with WS6 option. This is just my weekend cruiser and I only had so much to spend. Got it for $6500 and that's the cheapest I could find. Hopefully got a good deal on it..........
