Insurance/car payment questions
Ok, well I currently own a slowbra...a 94 5.0 cobra. Its a blast and I love it but I am looking for more power. I have always loved the ws6 trans am. Car looks mean as hell. Only problems are I think my insurance would go up and they are a bit more money then my cobra. I only pay 175 a month in car payment and 84 in insurance through my dad. Im 23, clean record no tickets or accidents full time college student on my 3rd major ...gotta find something I like
So any way, my question is, how much did you pay for your ws6, what are you monthly payments in car payment and in surance and post your age as well.

Good god that's just throwing money away...you will never see any of that insurance money back unless you think you are going to be racking up $430 / mo worth of damages to your car...that's $5000 / year that could have gone to mods instead...
I'm 21, a few things on my record but mostly not my fault (with previous cars)...about $850 / 6mo.
Car was $15,500, got it in August.
You are going to see widely varying numbers, due to people's age, driving record, location, and how they have their coverages tweaked. I brought mine down from $200/mo to about $140-150 just by adjusting some numbers.Last edited by BlackHawk T/A; 11-01-2005 at 08:12 AM.

Yeah, it fucking sucks. That is the cheapest insurance I could find. But I can make both payments with one weeks check if I have to. The car will be going into storage soon, so that should really help out.
And no, I don't go to school just work. I'll probably be going back to school next fall though.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
if you're car's gonna be in storage, you can drop all insurance EXCEPT comp on it as long as you have liability on whatever your winter vehicle is.

yep i do the same thing, in storage over the winter and driving in the summer! I'm 22 and i have bought 2 trans am WS6's. The first i bought was a 99 WS6 A4 for $17,100 with 29000 miles on it. I just bought the second not too long ago a 02 WS6 M6 for $20,000 with 36000 miles on it. Now i paid that much for the 02 because it is in immaculate condition and its got thousands in upgrades. I pay 400 a month for both of them for insurance but i had a rollover on the 99. As soon as you turn 21 insurance goes WAY down. I was paying 240 a month (with a perfect record) for insurance but after i turned 21 it went down to 125.00 a month!!! Winter storage for comp only is like 20 bucks a month.

thats pretty good for insurance, but who is your insurance provider, usually its cheaper if you go to some rinky dink place. I go through state farm and its only that cheap because i have been with them since i got my liscence and i have a whole bunch of discounts!

i figure if its more then 1,000 its worth it to claim but if its under that ill just spend my money and fix it my self and not report so that my rate does not fly throught the fucking roof!!

I bought my TA for 13,500 and pay $288\mo. I got quoted at state farm for $350\mo just for full on my TA with a $500 deductible, It was going to be around $450\mo to insure both of my vehicles (94 dodge intrepid - winter car) which just has liability. So I went with Geico and am paying $168\mo on both vehicles with the same deductible on the TA. *I saved a ton of money by switching to Geico!* Ha Ha
But I hear they don't handle claims very well. Hopefully I never have one!
I am recently 20 and have nothing on my driving record.

With a clean record I thinik the biggest drop will be when you turn 25 and recently I've heard your credit is now tied to your insurance (ain't that some bullshit). I'm 36 and pay about $600 full comp for 1yr.
