Is this idea dumb?

I have gone round and round about this idea to remove the honey comb covers that cover the speakers. If you remove the cover and look at the back side of it, it will be covered in a dark material. What if I removed the covers and the placed small red LEDs by the speaker then putting the cover back on. So at night there is a red glow coming from the speaker housing to match the dash and the small LEDs that shine on the door handle. Let me know what yall think.

I but leds in mine and they r alot brighter. but still great . LEDS on the door handles that is
