Is there a mod you did but wish you had done but did something else instead? either you did not know or did not have the money kinda upgrade?

mine are.......

got TSP 1 7/8 headers........wish I had gotten Kooks 1 7/8
got eldebrock shocks..........wish I had gotten Koni
got a aluminum rear end cover.....wish I had gotten a 12 bolt rear end
got hawk brake pads..........wish I had gotten a Wilwood brake setup
got a handheld tuner........wish i had gotten a Frost tune

X2 with the headers, however i do love my TSP LT's

I painted my calipers.............should have powdercoated
Got an edelbrock 3pt STB.......should've got a hotchkiss 2 pt (atleast)
Got a TSP Y pipe...................should've got a custom built Y
Didn't get cutouts..................should have

I got pacesetter headers...........should have gotten ARH.
I got the slp rear kit 3.73 gears...............should have gotten a 12 bolt or better.
I got a hyperpac............should have gotten frost tune or tx speed dyno tune.
I got slp lid and cold air.........should have just gotten the VOLANT.
I got a performabuilt 4l60e........damn the 4l80e is better.
I got a mustang v6 for a DD........should have gotten a HARLEY.

got new DRL bulbs and housings and sockets.....new bulbs melted the new housings and burned new sockets...should have got LEDs

After all was said and done with thunderracing's screwups I actually paid more than I would have if I bought direct from moser or bought a strange 12 bolt.researched this purchase well,just got screwed by a incompetent online performance vendor

most of the "should have" mods are a lot more expensive than the ones you did. Just take the headers for a moment....header gains are all arguably the same across the board.....for the most part. You can buy 2 sets of the headers you bought for the price of ARH or Kooks. When you buy your 3rd set then you can say you should've bought the others.....really think your gonna go through 3 sets of headers?
Shocks and brakes are wear/maintenance items....you'll have your chance at those. IMO unless you auto x the car wilwood is overkill for a street driven car. You can put on quality pads and rotors and do just fine on the street.

Me? I have no regrets for the most part. I got what I paid for and I hit my goals for the car. I wanted a full weight street car that ran 11's and that's what I got.

Bought cam and a stall, should have had the transmissionbuilt first

Having the axle bearings and pinion seals fixed/replaced, should have just bought better rear end.

My biggest regrets are not buying more stuff when I had the money. After being married and having to somewhat be responsible with my money it makes it a bit harder to buy things. I also wish I would have bought stainless headers instead of coated ones. Other than that, no real big regrets really. I made enough dumb mistakes with my 89 RS and 95 Formy to learn for the most part by the time I got the SS.
