I had the same problem about 2 years ago, Local Pontiac body shop replaced the
sail panel at no charge, FREE. The cost of the panel is about $250 and about the
same to paint and install. The panel is painted off the car and then installed. Now
that GM is short of cash you may not be able to go it for Free. Good Luck! PS if you
have more than one dealer you may get some results by going to another Pontiac
body shop. See the body shop manager.

we've repaired a couple at the body shop i work at. its the factory fiberglass panels start to bubble for some reason. we just sand and remove the bubbles fill 'em if they need it do a damn good tape job ( so theres no overspray ) and send 'em down the road.

GM wont do it for free. With a 2002 we had until 2008 to get it fixed. Otherwise we are on our own now. As far as the sanding thing goes...that's only a temporary fix. The wrong epoxy was used and it's just going to bubble again later. The whole thing needs to be replaced if it's bubbling.

You are correct, it is a problem with the epoxy. It's time to replace the sail panel..
