This kid i used to go to highschool with wants to race me. He has a 02 mustang gt, with flowmaster, cats, shorty headers, thorttle body, and intake and a handheld tuner. he hasnt got the thorttle body yet and the tuner but says he will but i dont know if he will. I have a 1999 ws6 a4 with just a corsa right now. Can i beat him now with just the exhaust? And when we do finally race when all this snow clears, ill have pacesetter lts, tsph catted y and volant intake and would i be able to beat him then?

you should be able to take him pretty easy even with just the exhaust, but when you get all your other stuff put on, get ready for him to cry

You'll leave his ass behind even without the rest of your mods, both cars are similar weight and bone stock yours has an 80 horse advantage. I used to be a Mustang guy, believe me I know.

dont forget your tune if you get lt's you should be able to pass him and let off pass him and let off you know show him your just toying with him.

thanks guys i cant wait to beat him he is so cocky about his car its not even funny, and about the tune, i have to wait off a little bit because ill a little short on the cash.

Once you get there though, the tune is definitely worth it. I picked up almost 20 hp from my tune.

The 2v modular motors sound nice but that's about it. The only mustang that might be able to challenge an F body would be a 4v cobra.

You'll get him no prob. Really try to get that tune beforehand though. It makes a big difference. Im driving around untuned right now with LTs and a ORY and I gotta get on it. Right now it feels a big sluggish. My buddies 01 WS6 woke the fuck up after his tune.
