I just gotta say, jesus christ this thing is fast.
So, again, I gotta say, jesus christ this thing is fast.
I came back from vegas the other day, and traffic was backed up at the hoover dam, so I literally didn't put my car in gear for a half hour. Get through the dam, it's an hour.
Get through Kingman, coming up to Wickenburg, and there's a hippie van in front of a semi doing 55. Limit's 65. There must have been 50 or 60 cars behind this "thing". They were all pretty cool, had spaces here and there.
I could pass on demand. Put it in 3rd, pull out, hammer it, shift to 5th, dump the brakes when I saw a spot. Nobody in danger, plenty of time for oncoming to not worry about it.
The look on the other driver's faces when I passed them in 3rd WOT was priceless. When they hear the car, they automatically let off the gas, and the space opens up. Hit the brakes, pull in. And I'm already in fifth.
Oh, and 22.5 miles to the gallon. ( It'll do better, I know, just lack of money.)
Jesus christ this thing is fast.

2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
this last week ive driven from tyler, to longview, back to tyler, then down to lufkin and back one day. then to dallas, back to tyler, then to longview, to shreveport, to dallas, finally back to tyler.
roughly 900 miles in 6 days, almost all interstate.
got 22-24 mpg btw.
spent most of that time at 85 mph, triple digits fairly frequently, up to 120 at one point.
on my last leg, got behind some slow people, and usually I'm in 6th, when I need to pass i go to 5th. if we were going slow, id hit 4th. Well this time i decided to have some fun, dropped back to 4rd from 80, bumped me up to about 4500 RPMS, laid on it, got to 100 real quick, put plenty of distance on the slow group, lol.
oh and this whole trip, zero cops.

sunset orange metallic- 2002 T/A convertible
I went to some car show in OH just after I bought my '02. They had a chassis dyno there so for $20.00 I said what the hell. The car was bone stock with about 1,600 miles on it. It was putting out 320 at the rear wheels, and it wasn't even broken in yet.

Smittro nailed it I think. Just don't get to take it on road trips enough. I thoroughly enjoy the road trips in this thing. Stoplight to stoplight in town, and at cruising speeds in town, yeah, i get enough of that. It is just a rare treat to take a road trip, and alone at that. And it only has a catback on it. Dynoed at 324,338 at the wheels. Got my headers sitting in the garage freshly painted. That loudmouth gets everyones attention, but it hurt my gas mileage, so I'm sure it hurt my power too. Gotta love the WS6 irregardless.

She still feels quick when I drive her on the weekends but then all week I drive a pig of a 02 Avalanche She felt really scary when I had my bald tires back there... going sideways in the freeway was not as fun as you think it would be.
