Angry I found this today on rear bumper

    http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/...ps95fa938f.jpg

Found the one flaw I have on my 98 Trans Am. This is on the drivers side left of the exhaust tip. Any way to fix or should I just buy a black bumper from a 98 to 02 trans am? I found one in great shape for $150. I don't do body work. What would it cost to pay a body person to take old bumper off and put new one on? Are there other options?

Not real big of a flaw but I know it's there and it bothers me. I swear I looked the car over top to bottom and don't remember seeing that. We are having a real cold streak and it was 9 degrees below zero without the wind chill. Could the older fiberglass just snap?

    Thanks!!

Buy a bumper and if you don't do the work yourself (Like Me) call one of those mobile painters to put it on and touch up paint if you need it. I just bought a 2002 WS6 with a quarter panel like that. I saw it when I bought it. About $250 for a mobile bumper repair guy to fix and paint it. Most will come out with a free estimate and match to the factory paint. Some can fix the flexible bumpers. Just a thought.

That is down low and damn near invisible -- as a temporary fix, you can drill a couple of 1/8" holes and cinch it back together with some small zip ties. It'll be about impossible to tell if you line it up good. This is how we fix bumpers in PA after whacking wildlife on the back roads.

Can you see it when you stand up and look, or no? If no, I'd just repair it yourself. Would hate to see you spend all that money on a new bumper just for the new one to get flawed as well.

I think that the area in which you live pretty much dictates the prices on body work.
