I Dont Know why I have such bad luck...
Okay as most of you know from my drivetrainforum, I have recently replaced the tranny mount. Ever since it was replaced the whole car vibrates like crazy when in park and in drive. Ls1 memebers have came to a conclusion that the flywheel is a problem.
well now i have bigger issues.... I was driving the bird home from work. My battery volts drop while i was at a red light(Every stop) i went to autozone to get a scanner and i got a code P0202. Fuel injector circuit condition.. Let me remind you, my engine is completely new. Injectors, fuel regulaor, ect. When i was trying to make it home the car hesitates on going and acts like it doesnt want to go, then smoke starts to POUR out of my exhaust..... Car still vibrates like A MOFO..
Uncle said he belives its electrical related.. Im done. Seriously, i have out 12k into my v6bird. I LOVE my bird but she seems too hate me..
I dont know what to do.. I think i will just take it to Firestone down the road and pay for a Diagnostic..
Any thougths? Ideas? Simalr problems? Im at my lowest point with my car right now.. I need all the help i can get.

Is your engine harness in good shape? Could be a ground issue or something simple. I am not familiar with the layout on V6 cars, but I know there is a pesky ground on the eight bangers on the back of the driver side head that can wreak havoc if it comes loose.

Harness is fine, not destroyed.
Not alt bc car starts back up.
Not battery bc its a new yellow top optima.
Was told when I had my fuel regulator replaced that the Computer seemed to be corroding.
But all of this at once? Flywheel, and whatever else is going on.
I use fuel cleaner every 3000 miles, clean the entire system out.

This is one of the big reasons I got rid of mine.
From the day we got it with only 26k on the ticker it was one thing after another.
Had the car 5-6 years and all we did was throw money @ it.
The car was meticulasly cared for as well as being stored in winter except for the last winter we owned it when I said eff it.
Constant electrical issues was the biggest issue it had.
There were a few mechanical but not nearly as numerous as the electrical crap.
I never had time to mod it as I was always having to fix stock shit just to keep it either emissions legal, or just plain road worthy.
Polished it up, and headed for the dealer..
It was time to "away anchor"..Last edited by Smittro; 02-28-2012 at 07:30 PM.

So you believe my problem is somewhere electrical?
Seriously im near being done. Im a Senior in Highschool. The only way I could pay my way through my car troubles is by my savings with a job. My savings is near shut.. Over the years I could have saved up and bought a car worth 12k. Im about to grad and goto college. I domt need this damm problem in college.
I really think it might be the time to sell her. God only knows ill prolly get $4500 for it. (if there are buyers.)

CHeck to make sure the injector plugs are seated and none have worked loose.
Had that happen to me after top end work once.
As far as the voltage drop, could be an Alternator issue, check your battery terminals for corrosion and ground straps.
Did you run it through a deep puddle? This can drown your Alt. out.
Check the lone wire comming from the black plug on the alt.
Many have had trouble with the "excite" wires connectivety.
WIth all that said the smoke pouring out worries me..
WHen you installed the engine and filled up the coolant system did you remember to purge the system of air?
What color was the smoke. Was it a white-ish grey and sorta fog like with a sweet odor,, or another type odor,, or did it smell of gasoline?

Smelled like gas. Still smokes too.

^^^ I think.. Could have been a sweet smell now I dnt remember..

ANother question,, when you installed the upper and lower manifolds on the new engine, did you install the upper and lower intakes assembled?
Meaning,, did you bolt the upper intake to the lower intake before installing them on the engine?

I didnt rebuild the engine. The whole engine has 10,000 miles. The top end was rebuilt by the same motor center and now has 5,000 miles. Sadly my top end build warranty ended at 4,000 miles. Im sure they put everything back. This all just started to happen once the tranny mount was replaced. All at once..

If you're not sure I can lay it out in pics about the intakes.
I have the picks from my top end work..

Yeah that would be quite helpfull..
Just let me know though, the smoke, what if it was gas or coolant?

No, no not exactly but covering bases here.
There are 2 bolts easily forgotten when assembling the upper and lower intakes to the engine.
If by chance they pre-assembled the 2 intakes prior to install they definetly forgot the 2 hidden bolts within the lower manifold as you cannot access them with the upper intake bolted to the lower.
The 2 bolts in question, IF missing can allow a coolant leak down which could be picked up by your intake tract and burned durring combustion.
This means the upper intake and lower will need removed to even asses the IF they are missing..
I can tell you this is NOT fun while the engine is in the car.
90% of the work will need done under cowl and blind..

Located in the red arrow areas are the hidden bolt holes.
IF they assembled it this far before installing it,,,, OOPS!
EASY mistake to make..

If it's gas then you could be getting fuel blow by on a dead injector, possible issue with the fuel pressure regulator.
Make sure the vaccuum line to the MAP sensor is still attached to the fuel pressure regulator, and has'nt broken, or come loose.
The vacuum line goes from the regulator on the fuel rail, around the back side of the upper intake and connects to the MAP sensor.
It can be seen in the 2nd pic above.Last edited by Smittro; 02-28-2012 at 08:22 PM.

damn bro.....sorry hear about all your troubles. Could the vibration you're feeling be a miss maybe? Everything you're describing here would lead me to want to check out that injector circuit. Smittro is the v6 guy so he definitely is the guy to trouble shoot this with. I'm not sure how the injectors are laid out on that motor and what circuit is what but that's where I would start. The smoke, smell, vibration(miss), and code all can be traced back to an injector issue whether it's a wiring issue or whatever.

I will be getting a diagnostic done 2moro. We'll find out exactly whats wrong. I need to rest. My stress level is very high.
The vibration isnt a miss. Its a rumble coming from the center console. Almost like the driveshaft is moving around. Vibration isnt coming from the engine.
But like I said, diagn. will be 2moro.. Paying $100 just to found out...

what bushing did you put back in there poly bushing or OEM? The poly will transfer more vibration into the car but from the sounds of it I think your vibration is probably excessive. Did you make sure the exhaust didn't get moved around and is vibrating against the floor?
