Was did you get when your car came equipped with the Hurst option?

Was it just a shorter shifter and a "H' knob?

I believe you got the shifter and knob only.

It was just a shifter and knob. The shifter was built to GM specs. It's not the same as a Billet Plus shifter and it's not anymore short throw than a standard shifter.

Pricey for just a shifter and knob!!! Guess some of the money needed to go to Hurst and of course GM needed to take thier cut.

This is the correct answer. The stock installed Hurst shifter does not have solid stops.

Indeed. The Hurst was not an option until '99, so I put a Pro 5.0 in my '98. When I removed my "factory installed" shifter I found only one of the two bolts holding the stick to the shifter actually installed and torqued. The other bolt I found down wedged between the carpet and floor pan. Made me even more glad to have replaced that factory POS shifter.
