Hurst Badge on CETA?
Hey guys,
One option for the CETA buyers was a factory Hurst shifter. My Ceta came with this option but has no rear "Hurst Equipped" badge. I have not seen any other CETA's with this badge, but I came across this picture and was wondering what you guys think. Did he just get an aftermarket badge and put it on? or did some CETA's get this badge?

millenium yellow/green- '02 CETA, '71 Firebird
Oh and one more thing while on this topic. I have noticed several different "Trans Am" badges on the lower front corner of the doors. I have seen several CETA's with yellow trans am door badges (shown in the pic above), while others are black (like pic below). I'm not talking about a black overlay, but actual black letters. My CETA has black trans am door lettering. See below...

You can buy the hurst badge for like $15. It didnt come on them from factory i believe. And as far as the black Trans Am door letter, im not sure but you could buy black letters and put em on. Or take em off, paint em, and put em back on.
See i bought the hurst badge for my car and put it in that same exact place.

All WS6's came with the Hurst shifter as a standard option and the CETA's were all WS6's.
No T/A came from the factory with a hurst badge though.
And I'm pretty sure but not 100% that the T/A lettering came from the factory in the matching yellow.

There were only a few CETA options and the Hurst Shifter WAS one of them:

yep, the HURST badge was an add on. All CETAs came with the yellow trans letters. You can put black over lays on them. If the entire lettering is black, its not original.

I bought my CETA from a dealership and the owner before me painted the trans am letters on the side, and the pontiac on the back. Wish he would have used the stickers bc the paint looks kinda tacky and cheaply done upclose

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
The factory-installed Hurst shifter was NEVER standard equipment on any Formula or T/A, WS6 or not. It was an OPTION available on any M6 Formula or T/A from '99+ and was not part of the WS6 option package. The Hurst shifter was not even available in '98.
You are correct though that the factory never installed a Hurst badge.
