How to tell if WS6 is bagged on and not worth buying stock?
hi there. just wondering if a compression test would give a good idea if car has been raced and driven hard? interior and exterior look good. just concerned how to tell if the engine is still good. Thanks

Compression test would give you a good base. Also just listening to the engine, looking at oil pressure, how many miles? All stock? Those are also indicators if the car has been raced a lot or what not. If it has a cam then its obviously been raced, but if it is all stock with a decent amount of miles then i wouldn't worry about it. These engines are real champs and at the end of the day the car was built to get beat

I always inspect the fluids -- oil, coolant and trans fluid (automatic). Even if the fluids have been changed recently, you can tell quite a bit by looking at the dipsticks, underside of the fill caps, and inside the openings. Try to see the car when the engine is cold and stand behind it when it is started -- look for blue smoke which indicates oil being burned in the combustion chamber. Inspect all the body panels for proper alignment and definitely look under the car for signs of obvious leaks or underbody damage. Are the tires shot? If not, is the wear even?
