How much to pay
Ok like I said in a previous post I have been out of touch. What would be a good idea what I need to put aside for a 1999 to 2002 WS-6 in Fair to good condition under 100,000 miles

Tiger,
I have been kicking the thought around of getting matbe a 98 since eventually I would be changing everything anyway. I guess the thought of not wanting to deal with the computer issue scares me away. But then again why not replace it with a computer from a 99. or iam sure someone makes a aftermarket computer to through in it. Not sure what would be best to do.

They are limited in what performance changes that you can do with them. I will probably let someone else answer that in more detail.
I remember when I had my vette and I was on the corvette forum there was a guy that would burn computer chips for the ECM and it depended on what year vette you had to what changes you could make to them. But like I said earlier I know there's gotta be aftermarket computers that you can put in them.

Im about to pay 20k for an 02 firehawk/m6 with 34k miles. I guess it all depends how much you want it.

It also depends on how much you know about working on cars. If you are a gearhead, then you can compromise the condition and get something that is at a lower price. For me, I don't know much about working on cars, so I would pay more for one in great working condition.

Black on Black- 2001 Firebird T/A WS6
I guess it also depends on if you are buying it from a dealership or privately. I bought mine privately, single owner and he worked for a Ford *shivers* dealership, so he had it serviced once a month or so etc. It had high milage on it but it was all highway miles back and forth to work. But since he worked for a dealership, and meeting him and going to his house, I was able to gather that he took great care of it cause his other vehicles he had were also in great condition.
