How much more?
Good morning. Opinions on how much more power from a lid and catback together?? At the rear wheels.

Cat back itself does not add much power at all. Together with the lid I would say around 10 -15 at best.

I dont know if the lid would show anything on the dyno though IMO, but it does help

Combined there good for an easy 10-15 HP at the wheels.

I noticed quite a bit of diff by putting the magnaflow muffler and clear slp type lid on. Not sure how much though.
Roars louder and the kick is more violent. Shaved my Quarter mile time by about half a second. I am an amateur racer though. I also added the JAAM RAM plenum from WS6 store which channels the air flow better too I think. I just looks cleaner which is what I was concerned with.
You will notice a difference though.

I've seen that a lid by itself is ~10 HP, and a good cat-back the same. Put together, tho, the gain is about 15. For some reason, usually the things that add 5-10 HP each don't give a cumulative effect. Diminishing returns....

One of the best mods I have made is a ported / polished thottle body. Cheap mod too. There is only a little more HP made but the thottle response and the car jump is much better. Because of the thottle response I can chirp third just by stepping on the gas down low in third without drag radials on her. It's great for races on the roll. The front end pops up and your gone. Not nearly the lag of a stock thottle body.

So far so good , did u change any parts??

No, I haven't replaced anything yet. Have been following your posts to find out what it actually is. Mine is out of warranty, so anything I replace, I have to pay for myself. If I can fix it myself for the cost of an inexpensive part, I'll gladly do it! Appreciate you keeping us up to date on what you find!

Hey "Mecinoid" did you do the port and polish job? It looks good. I am thinking about sending mine out to have it done for $75.
