How many of you run cats?
How many of you all run cats? Most of the guys on this board seem to not run cats. If you don't how are you guys able to get tags for your cars AKA pass emissions?

i have them on my car right now. Im most likley gonna rip them off cause theres an error with one of the cats. Ill probably run an ORY untill the next inspection date, then take it off again. My friend gives me an inspection sticker for the car. Either way w/ the exhaust and tints i will fail no matter wut

Black- 1999 Pontiac Firehawk
Running Kooks long tubes and their catted y with a GMMG cat back. Tuned out the emission on the pcm. Because the car is "slightly" louder than stock, I decided to keep cats on the car just in case a nosey DOT worker decides to slide the mirror underneith to check. So far, so good.

I've kept mine. I'm worried to do anything more to my exhaust cuz I like how my Loudmouth sounds as it is. I've heard it with a full exhaust and it's too loud/ raspy.

i am running full lengths with a ypipe with no cats. i had to get an o2 simulator to plug into the convertor o2 sensor harness to prevent the computer from reading an inoperable convertor, in turn keeping your check engine light off. i just moved from california and if you have an obdII computer they will just do a computer read and make sure that the emission system is operating properly. if they happen to hit you with the mirror and visually checked, your plain and simple fucked.

No e-checking here, no cats either. Us car guru's like to call it "the land of mechanical freedom" Of course with my older cars you don't have to worry about that stuff anyway.

Yes it will set a code. You either have to take the car to a tuner and disable the rear 02's, buy the equipment and disable them yourself,,,or buy a pair of 02 simulators to plug in.
