How hard will WS6's be to find in upcoming years?
I've wanted a WS6 for a very, very long time. I'm finally ready to start actively trying to get one..
However, it's going to be a year or so before I can find the funds. My parents do not want me to sell my current car because they gave it to me. If I were to sell it, buying a trans am would probably be easy (it's a 2005 SLE Solara in excellent condition, $12k easily)
I'm normally a very patient person, but since this is a long discontinued car, I'm worried that by the time I can afford one, they will be impossible to find in good enough condition.
Condition doesn't worry me so much since LS1's are still very much used. Should be easy to get parts/repairs.
I also can't help but wonder...can we expect the prices of these cars start rising any time soon due to rarity and popularity?
In case it may help, I'm generally looking for a 98-02 WS6, M6, T-Top, power everything, etc. But mainly the M6 is what's important.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
I'm sure they'll be cheap and easy to find considering there will be so many people who want to give them up for the new camaro

That's certainly an interesting thought. I never considered that possibility.
The new camaro's are impressive, just not as "menacing" looking as the t/a and I probably couldn't afford a new camaro (what is starting price, $22k? and that's with the v6 right?)
But I really hope you're right about that.

The ones that get traded in probably won't come from an ethusiast group like here or 'tech. We love our cars too much to trade them for anything. but for the thousands of other owners out there, it's a good probability they'll "trade up"

Yeah, I figured I shouldn't.
Thought, I should mention I live in south louisiana. "Winter" here means 40 degrees minimum. I've seen snow twice in my lifetime, at it was gone by 10:30 in the morning.

Just the fact that the new Camaro is coming out, and that it is supposed to be more powerful than the WS6 cars from '02, will kill a lot of the WS6's collector appeal.
They will be easy to find and afford for several years to come.

+1 for more power but heavier. I love the car but don't think its worth paying the price, at least not new. Peeps who have WS6's are not gonna get rid of them for a camaro... They're not making them anymore... And with the way the economy is...the camaro may end up being one & done. GM is askin for more money now.
