Is hood pad necessary.
replaced old hood with new ram air. old hood pad is shot. is it necessary to add one to new hood? If so, any recommendations for a replacement. had no luck in finding one that did not need cutting. something i prefer not to do.

I will say that the stock WS6 hood has one of the best underhood paint jobs I have ever seen from the factory.

What's it made out of? GM WS6 hoods are a type of fiberglass so they didn't need the heat pad.
