Hood Modification
Hey Good Buddies!!!!
I was at Pep Boys Auto Parts purchaing my Paint for the CETA mod... I ran into these hood scoops enhancement that some of you without a Ram Air hood may want to go with. It's much Cheaper than going with a Ram Air hood and a paint job.
I purchase both to see the fitting on my hood. The double Hood Intake did not entail enough bend for proper hood fitting, but the SS style work well. Here it is:

Was Just Checking it out- Not a Definite
I'm just thinking about it....... All SS does have that scoop as an appearance enhancement.
I did customize stripes for the vehicle already, thus, I will probably may return all the scoops. The stripes are Corvette stripes fitted for my TA... it cost like $169..... I can't go with the scoop and stripes at the same time. It's taking them 3 weeks to fit and create the stripes. Check it out when I receive and install it.
I posted it to see what your opinions would be.
No biggy and no feelings are hurt busters!
Good day,
Matthew

It never looks right when someone puts nostrils on a camaro or a tear drop scoop on a firebird.

Collector Yellow (54U)- 2002 Trans Am CE
I see those double ram air scoops on 8 out of 10 trucks down here. As I pass them I wonder if they think about my car, "Wow, I should have just not bought the silly scoops and gotten the real whole car"
But when I do see them I also don't know whether to take it as a compliment or an insult?
Fake hood scoops are just not cool, but they are something that you and your friends can make fun of.

Even Ram Air Import
I exactly know what you mean. I see it on Trucks all over here in California. I have a Red OEM Ram Air Hood Trans Am... I love it! Seeing those Ram Air hood on other vehicles besides a TA entail copy catting. I know they have no function on those vehicles compared to our TAs.
I will skipping the scoop I guess... but hey, I checked it out again tonight when I came home and it does look somewhat pleasant sitting on top of the hood. hahaha!!!
By the way, when I purchased the paint for my Ceta Mod at Pep Boys, I saw a 3rd generation with one of those Nostril up hood.... that too me does not look very attractive either. There are just too many imitiation of the Ram Air hood, even for imports hahahahaha..... those look really bad too.

Striping it Compared to Scooping!
Is that your vehicle with the White Anniversary stripes on it? Coming from my perspective, those Ann Stripes does not look attractive on a non-ram air hood.
My stripes will be like this one with the added wrap around stripes for the rear spoiler. Should look pretty unique rolling down the street. We will have to wait and see:
