Sunset Orange- 2002 WS6 Trans Am
Help prz ; ; Trans Am down
Monday 2/15/10 I got hit by a Acura DX(sedan thingy) and well she hit my driver rear side and spun me 180 degree's. her insurance has to pay for the damages thankfully, but I do not know where to go, my limit for travel is 150~ miles away from Los Banos, Ca (93635). I want to get her fixed perfect, she is an 02 SOM WS6, my friends dad and I just finished fixing every little leak in her and now...

The problem i am facing is i want to find a very reputable place, because the place they r tryin to make me go to are wanting to do the following : After Market bumper, firebird trunk/spoiler( it is a Trans Am ws6... ;. and well i have seen their work before and i really dont want to go there n wanted to ask some people on the sites of some where they would trust to take their car to.
On a side not i'd rather get those parts used n painted for the right color instead of the After market, and also the correct spoiler/trunk XDLast edited by Draik; 02-17-2010 at 08:07 PM.

Post #15 and not a single "That'll buff right out". Amazing restraint for this crowd.
Good luck with getting her fixed and hope everything works out for you!

Don't EVER get an after market bumper cover! When I had my wreck they tried to pull that on me saying it was cheaper and it is, but a lot of times the paint doesn't stick very well and they crack easier. You may have to go with some after market parts though simply because it's getting harder to find OEM parts for Pontiac's now. Wish you luck man!

Yep Trans Am GTA, had a 4000 Stall torque converter(iirc, it use to b a drag car, till the torque converter snapped on the fly wheel) now has a pos torque converter that is for low RPM() , 266k miles on her she was my first, a.k.a. tank, and i am tryin to look around was wondering if a GM dealership would do all the work from body to paint to leaks

Agreed. A shop near me does normal repair work, but their backshop is filled with classic cars they are restoring, all powered by LS1's. I brought my car in for a few minor tweaks and they never charged me. They enjoy working on cars, and don't consider me a "customer" because I don't drive a "normal" car. And they do great work, because they appreciate the car for what it is. Yeah it sounds a little weird, but the old days of muscle cars are going away.

Atm the insurance people are saying going to Bonanders in Pontiac is alright, and she should be departing to there real soon ^.^ I just hope they'll treat her good and do her the best, she has 120k miles and before the wreck no one ever believed me
