    Help

does anyone know how to deactivate/reactivate the security system to a 2002 trans am ls1? had the ingnition replaced a while ago, i think that had something to do with my lock out today. do you think this could be resolved with a diagnostic tester.

By lockout, are you refering to the ignition being locked out and the car won't start, or the car locks engaged?

If it's the ignition - there is a sticky on disabling VATS. I'll see if I can find it.

You need to take a reading with a DVOM of the chip in your key. That will tell you which resistor to go with.
