    headlight problems

Hi guys new hear and need some help

I have had this problem for awhile and its starting to get on my nerve

    1995 T/A

    It's my driver side headlight

When I turn my headlights off and they go down normal,The driver side motor makes a long buzzing sound for like 4-5 seconds:
I'm guessing its my gear that stripped right ??

    Ok that's one problem

The other is when I turn my headlight switch to the middle position (parking lights) my headlights pop open as well,But don't light up,Fogs and rear light like normal:I'm stumped on this one

    Any help would be great

My drivers side light also messed up on my 2001 TA. Best thing you can do and what I done was, manually move your light up, remove the light cover that goes over your light, then unscrew the bolt holding the end of the rod to the motor, then pop it off. Take a black sharpie and mark your place on the side of the motor connection thats facing you then manually turn the motor 180 degrees. When you finish turning it then reconnect the rod, and screw the bolt back on. Then manually return the light back down. After doing this it should also fix the parking light problem because mine acted the same way.

This should solve your problem but if it doesnt you will need to buy a new motor or just a gear. Good luck.

Check out Rodney Dickman for a brass replacement. The reason you headlight pops back up when you turn on your parking lights is because as far as the car is concerned it never made it down all the way since the gear is stripped. It will "time out" after the motor runs for so long and stop grinding. You get the same results if you have your headlights on and turn them off then to parking lights really quick before they make it down. Either the free mod or the brass gear replacement will fix both your problem at once.
