    headlight

    About a year ago i changed out my plastic gears for some brass gears. Well when i was changing my turning bulb i noticed that my right gear housing cover was missing. Today it started doing the grinding it use to do before i replaced the gears. Could it be because the housing cover is missing and if so can i buy just the cover or would i have to buy a new headlight motor?

    check some junk yards, if you see a wrecked one that has a broken motor just take the cover. Im pretty sure that you cannot just buy the cover sep.

    The part is the complete motor. Cover was not a separate part. Don't know if GM still has them (the motor) in invetory at this late date.

    I got a headlight motor from either the AZ or Advanced Auto I can't remember but it's been a year and it still works and it was pretty cheap and in stock.
    1998 Trans Am 85k miles.
