Head lights Help
Ok so when I hit my alarm button (lock, or unlock) my headlights open and close by their self and when they close the left one makes this loud noise for about 5 seconds like it's still trying to shut or something
The left light does the same thing if i just open and close them with the switch normally
I also cant just turn my fog lights on when i do the head lights pop up but they dont come on unless i turn them on
Whats the deal?
Is there any way i can just disable my headlights and just use te fogs until i can get it fixed?

It's funny you mention that. My brother has my old 92 firebird and it does the exact same thing. It drives you crazy doesn't it?? My best advice would be to take it to a shop and see if an aftermarket alarm wouldn't fix the prob.

NO NO NO!!! My 2000 trans am did this last night. I searched on the internet and there is a very easy fix for this!! Appartently there is a plastic gear that the headlight uses to go up and down. And it can become stripped over time. The great news is that it only uses half of the gear since the headlight only goes up and down. So all you have to do is spin that gear 180 degrees to use the other "good" "non used" side. here is a write up on it. I did it to mind since i had the same problem you had and mine works like new now. let me know how things work out....here is the link!!! http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/headl....htm#FreeGuide

We actually replaced the whole assembly and it still screws up. It looks like herbie when he hits the lock buttons. The lamps go up and down 5 or 6 times then arms. He has got to have some type of electrical problem. I know what you're talking about as far as those motors. I had an 84 T/A and had to replace both headlight motors on that thing. PITA for sure.

could that possibly be a setting. I know you can change it to how many honks and light flashes hit once you lock the door. Just lock it from the inside and save your self the trouble.
