    Head lamp conversion

    has anyone done the head lamp conversion for the trans am? if so, do yall have any problems? because i am lol. im always melting the wires connecting to the damn light? dont know why this is happening, but this has happend to me at least 6 times, and im running out of wire from cutting and putting new male connectors on. also is there any way to fix this problem?

    I did the conversion and used the plain bulbs for a month, then converted to HID's and I never had any problem. Are you running high wattage bulbs, that can heat the wires and melt them. Other than that make sure the connectors are crimped real tight. Never had that problem with mine.

    yeah i clamp the damn connectors as tight as i can, and wrap them in black electrical tape. ill check the wattage on the bulbs. if it happens again, then im gonna go with HID's

    Im running the eurolights conversion with HID 6000K H4 bulbs and its simply awesome!! I was ,like you, running the xenon higher wattage bulbs 80Watt, and I had to replace the male plug in connector to a higher wattage connector from Autozone. It worked and I did not have any melting problem but, make the switch to HID/ no melting problems and the light output is simply fantastic!
