Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Had the camera out...
And the cutouts open. So I thought I would share.
Cold start-up, and it doesn't see over about 4,500 RPM's.

Anyone know what causes that miss at idle??
-

I'd keep a careful eye on the oil pressure at such a low idle.
Tho it may sound cool as hell, low idle rpms will sometimes result in very low oil pressure/volume, which can obviously be damaging.
Pressure doesn't always mean sufficiently volume either tho.
Sounds really good once it get a little heat built-up in it & finds a nice higher idle rpm.

could it be the cam you got? my 402 with G5X4 cam is low on oil pressure too at idle,
the car was tune to idle 900rpm and it was hicking up then had them do 1200rpm idling and
now it regained the breath at idle but still oil pressure is 5psi at idle. at 70mi/hr 30-32psi.
they changed the oil pressure sensor to an LS2 still the same, I thought I may need a new oil pump, but they checked it out and everything is good. so I guess low psi at idle time. hmmm

i think i just wet myself!!! very nice Mr. Luos. i want mine to sound like that one day. so much for low oil pressure, that is good for only 900 rpm
