    It has a big wing!

Thinking back to 98' I want to remember the color options like this:

red, black, white, nbm, bright purple met, sport gold met and silver met were all available as a WS6 color option.Bright purple only was available for the early part of 98'.

Bright green met, blue green chameleon, red orange met were not available as WS6 optioned Birds.

now,I'm getting old so don't take my word for it but...thats how I remember it...

You know I want to say that one of them is a white one that was used by one of the "Big" magazines when tey were first introducing the LS1 Trans Am back in 98'.

The photos were of a white LS1 TA and it had cloth seats with no T-Tops to speak of... I tried a quick google search to see if I could find a pic of it but.... I failed.

The white one in that magazine was the fist time I saw an LS1 TA... The store clerk probably thought I was looking at a Playboy or something when I was reading it!!

I did find this odd ball of a TA on youtube though... It's a red LS1 TA and notice that it has WS6 wheels but no ram air hood, base exhaust tips and earlier LT1 style head rests. In addition in some shots it looks to have the base 16inch silver painted wheels and the whole video kicks off with a black base TA with chrome 16's. I'm thinking one of the red ones is a WS6 "test" mule but they didn't want people to see the hood and exhaust tip until a more "official release?".

some 98s had lt1 headrests, mine does too, love em.

i think 17's were optional on base t/as, but standard of course on ws6s,

and ws6s were only availiable on late 98's, which is why there were no green ws6s, because it was an early in the year color option

17" wheels were not available on any Firebird except the WS6s and Firehawks.

ASC# 0001 was converted on 2/18/98, so while WS6s weren't in production at the beginning of the '98 MY, it wasn't real late either.

You are right that there were no green LS1 WS6s built. However, 48U Dark Green Metallic was available on '96-'97 WS6s and was probably the most rare color on them.

    1999 T/A

I had a 99 Trans Am a few years ago that had this exact color. I read that they were only made in 98 so I wanted to let you guys know that mine was a 99. It could have been a left over 98 sold as a 99 but all documentation like registration/title show that it was a 99. I bought it used but it had not been repainted so this was the factory color. It was a m6, light grey leather interior, cd player t-tops and of course the LS1 motor. I just wanted to share. Photobucket says that I have exceeded the bandwith on my acct so I had to create a new one and copy the pic's. It won't let me resize them either but here they are. I have the original pic's on my home pc but these will do for now. Sadly I sold the car about 3.5-4 years ago and haven't seen it since.
