Going on a long road trip, advice?

Hey all, I'm going to be headed go GA for training in about a weeks time, however i start some of it where I am now on the 30th and i get about 2.5 days to get down to the GA facility. I am taking my car because it is highly recommended and i really have no other option.

So far i have really just one day to stop at my parents house and change my oil and any other simple tune up options. I also am planning on just changing out the clutch reservoir fluid since i don't have time for a flush. I also had my wheels balanced, brakes are still good, rotors have to wait. So if anyone has any other advice id like to hear it. I will have extra fluids in the car for oil, brake, & power steering.

how many miles? i did 1200 round trip plus city driving to/from myrtle beach. Through the summer i regularly did 600 mile round trips to visit family. These cars were built to drive man! change the oil and maybe the tranny/rear fluid so it's all nice and lubed up right.

RejeX the front of the car. A little sealant will make those bugs easy to remove after the trip.


Enjoy getting 28+ MPG with a torquey V8 out on the highway.

Well its 548 for the duration of the trip from the parents house and about 100 from where ill leave in MD to head to Richmond, VA (parents). Ill see about adding the rear end to the list! Thanks! I just like to give my LS1 the best treatment, but this will be its largest single trip ive it on.
