Gauge install
Anybody have good advise on installing auto meter gauges (water temp, oil pressure, vac) I had them on my old 3rd gen camaro and want to install them on my 99 t/a with the tri pod pillar. Info on oil tube placement, water sensor placement and any holes in the firewall that can be used as aposed to drilling more. Also monster tach install, I was told to tap into the #10 or eleven wire on my cpu and it would send the signal for the tach if it was in 4 cylinder mode. It ended up always draining my batt. anyone ever use that module that autometer sells to adapt the tach to a electronic signal.
thankx

Type of gauges?
Are they electrical or mechanical?
I know you can't use a mechanical water temp sender.

Water temp won't work. That HAS to be electrical sender to fit the LS1.
Unless there is another company that makes a small mechanical sender....

You want to use electric guages for the track. Mechanical won't pass tech.
I think, they don't want fluids ( oil, fuel, ect ) in the cab of car. NHRA
