    Gas Mileage

Just wondering what you guys get for gas mileage...

I'm pretty sure i'm getting 14mpg... I used to get close to 21 or so... I took it to the shop a few weeks ago and they threw a new fuel filter in it but i'm getting worse mpg now. I checked the code on my car and it says it's running too lean...O2 sensors are fine.

Keep in mind I have a 2001 LS1... no mods yet. Seems like i'm getting crappy gas mileage...

Post any codes you're throwing - thinking if you're throwing any codes for being lean the PCM is adding fuel to try and compensate for it.

Lately with AC running and all kinds of other bad things for gas mileage I have been hitting around 25-28 with almost all highway driving. In town I have not figured it out. I am still having to much fun with the car to get good MPG

Yea in town sucks, its just too much fun, usually ends up about around 20 but setting at 65 the best i have gotten is 35 but average about 31-32. I'm a M6 with some mods like headers, ORY, ported MAF, Volant CAI, and free mods.

I can usually average 16/24 even with my mods. If code(s) are being thrown for a lean condition something else is going on and probably adding fuel.

Mine's a lot of city driving.... 10 miles to work and 10 miles back.

I just got new tires on it too, but they're the same size as the old ones....

I'll post the codes tomorrow if I get a chance

Wow, now that insane !!! 35mpg. The very best I've ever recorded was 29.5mpg. I think I may have broken 30mpg once or twice on really smooth and level highway at 67mph. I just can't drive 65mph.

I'm not calling BS ... but, that is amazing for a LS1.... However, in my defense I do have 3.73 gears in mine and if he has 3.42 that would make it so technically.

yea i still got the stock 3.42 gears, and i drive 45 miles of open flat concrete hiway one way every day for school. I usually set it about 75 but when i checked it i set it at 65 and just enjoyed the ride. Then its oly running around 13 14 hundred RPM. In town is horrible mostly cuz i play with it too much.
